lyrics
I’m not in love with love
In New York City tonight
I’m not in love with love
In New York City tonight
I don’t know if I recognize this place at all
It’s a world behind eyelids
It’s turning on and off
All the image swirl and mix
Then empty out on the street
What is the thought that slipped away?
That crack in the universe?
All the people in the clubs
I guess they’re all gone already
All this action, all these faces
Drawing tight around my head
And all this city
All these thoughts
New Jersey turnpike right before dawn
When all the lights glisten
And it seems so much more than real
More of that great empties
That good highway feel
Kissing Mary in the club
With all that skin
Keep away from Mary
Keep away or fall in
To all these thoughts
All the letters lost
I thought of you sadly
What an epic thought
Everything about love
Everything about money
Everything about you and me and her and him and them
It’s alright, every thought is open
And I touch your tongue
Glands, limbs, neck, hair, all that skin
All that skin, all that skin, all that skin
All that skin, all that skin
Every feeling, every thing
Every instinct, every figure
Every memory, everyone
I’m alright, I’m alright
Every tongue
I’m alright, I’m alright
I’m alright, I’m alright
We’re alright, we’re alright
We’re alright, we’re alright
We’re alright….

Existential dread high cathedral screamo. Staring into the mirror to see they eyes of the world staring back at you, surrounded by fire. Are we beast or victim, or one and the same? Luke

I generally appreciate the album by album move away from hardcore towards extreme metal. Yet for me personally, this is where the balance is perfect. Kind of like Metallica's Ride the Lightning: subsequent albums were more sophisticated and complex, yet less intense, too. Great to come back to, again and again. jornfin

thanks Fluisteraars! I just love your music. A very good atmosphérique black metal band with experimental/ ambient passage. This album is literally one of my classics in my black metal journey.
The first time I heard this record, I feel scared and no other album make me feel that. Just, I feel like it's probably my favourite black metal album of all time. Continue in that way ! quentin_milcent
